Phoenixx Ebony Quasar,LCM 2 Quasar was Jane’s favorite Borzoi boy, sweet tempered and the sire of our Las Vegas litter born in 1996. (this photo was taken by Donna Maharan, 1995 at the BCOA National in Greensburg,PA) |

Amberwind’s Dash in the Dark,JC Susan Mallonee was very generous to allow us to have Dash. We picked up Dash in Las Vegas when we were there on a vacation, hence the theme of the litter. The combination of the Windhound line and the strong Shady Luck side of Dash’s pedigree combined well in the litter of 12 to produce many performance Borzoi of note. |

BJ is a handsome guy who did some lure coursing but was not focused enough to be competitive but did earn some points in the show ring. When he matured around 4 years old, we discovered that he had pannus, an eye problem more common to greyhounds. Our original Borzoi, Fargo, had also developed pannus in later years, but BJ is the only off spring that has inherited this eye disease. BJ continues to live the good life, here with us.

Nugget, over the years, has been our most successful courser. In addition to lure coursing, she has also received points in OFC (hunting), LGRA and the show ring and when she was 8 ½ she completed her LCM 4. In the spring of 2000, Nugget finished her Canadian Field Championship and in August of that year had her first litter. In 2001, she had her second litter, a repeat breeding; the combined two litters has resulted in 6 breed champions, 5 of whom has various coursing, hunting and racing titles. A 7th has points in the show ring, as well as coursing titles. Nugget has been busy in her 10 years!
Lady has also been extremely successful at lure coursing and OFC. She is very fast and loves to run and impressed quite a few experienced coursers the first time she participated in a hunt. She has been Peter’s favorite and knows how to wrap him around her paw to get what she wants.

Maxx was owned and loved by Steve and Jill Woith in Virginia. He carried the litter statistics with his name because there were 12 in the litter. He was an excellent obedience dog, completing his CD at the 2001 National Specialty and placed 4th in the Triathlon.
Daxx lives with Steve and Jill Woith now after a short time in California, then joined his brother Maxx in Virginia. He currently shares the household with his nephews Solomon and Dreamer.
